About the 2025 State Sector Conference
SAVE THE DATE!
AHCWA hosts an annual West Australian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector Conference each year, aimed at healthcare professionals working within the 23 Member Services, their Directors, and those working more generally in Aboriginal Health throughout Australia.
The next WA State Sector Conference has been confirmed for June and July 2025 at the Esplanade Hotel in Walyalup (Fremantle). A key Health Sector event, the conference facilitates collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation to improve Aboriginal people’s health and well-being. Approximately 300 delegates across WA attend the Conference, with featured guest speakers showcasing the exemplary work undertaken in the Sector. Government representatives and NACCHO offer insight into future directions in funding and programs, and attendees will have the chance to attend a range of educational and inspiring plenary sessions, presentations, and panel discussions.
In the same week, AHCWA will be hosting the WA Aboriginal Youth Conference, which will provide First Nations youth aged 16–19 with a platform for professional development and connection. 80-100 delegates attend.
Be sure to mark the following in your calendar:
WA Aboriginal Youth Conference: Monday, 30 June 2025
AHCWA Members Forum: Tuesday, 1 July 2025
