We are seeking EOI’s for our workshops!
The WA Mental Health Commission funds AHCWA’s Family Wellbeing program and aims to increase awareness and develop strategies around the factors that influence family wellbeing for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
The non-accredited workshops have been developed with a community based focus, however the workshops also target all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and non-Aboriginal health professionals working with community members to gain the necessary skills to be able to support individuals, families, and communities to overcome their social and emotional challenges and help create stronger communities and family environments.
The program involves the delivery of the below workshops in Family Wellbeing. Please take a look at the flyer here.
Two-day workshops:
- For Men only and Women only groups
- Effective communication, understanding conflict, conflict resolution and the process of change (these include sessions around FDV)
One-day workshops include:
- Coping with grief and loss and managing emotional challenges
- Integrate principles of wellbeing and effectively guide individuals, family and community through difficult times.
- Understand and recognise mental health, stress and crisis management
